In March 2020, A_ARCA became the cultural field to a series of Live Debates produced in partnership with the Dutch curator Maaike Gouwenberg.

These online events aim to metabolize perspectives from a multitude of world visions. We gather global cultural leaders to, together, elaborate propositions to the realities of now. Read more

Some of the topics of previous debates included display, care, live arts, technology, and collecting. The aim is to have a truly representative panel, far from the usual suspects, to decentralize narratives.

Panelists from Bahrein, Cape Town, Chicago, Cuiabá, Dhaka, Johannesburg, Luanda, Hong Kong, Mumbai, New Orleans, Ramallah, Wellington, and Yaoundé already participated.

We search for the most radical and eloquent artists and curators in the world. One of the opportunities of the post-Covid-19 world is to work on narratives, create a solidarity network that benefits from exchange across time and space. While social distancing saves lives, cultural distancing kills.
